A pursuit of freedom and a passion for exploration inform Sameer’s life and work. As a pioneer in electronic civil liberties, he implemented a forward-thinking international development and sales strategy in the face of domestic market export restrictions with his first company, C2Net Software. The company had a market share surpassing such industry titans as Microsoft by the time it was acquired by Red Hat Software. He remained on the frontier of digital independence as Chairman of Havenco with a plan for the development of secure data centers worldwide.
Based in New York City, Sameer founded Falkor Systems after holding a position in quantitative analysis for the Interest Rate Products group at Goldman Sachs. In 2013 Sameer merged Falkor Systems with I Heart Engineering.
His work has featured regularly on the cover and in the pages of numerous publications, including Forbes and WIRED. He has spoken and lectured at conferences with such organizations as TEDx and the Usenix Association.
Sameer studied Mathematics, Computer Science and Physics before graduating with a BA in Economics from University of California at Berkeley. He received an MS in Mathematics in Finance from the Courant Institute at New York University.
His breadth of interests sustains the spirit of his professional life. An aviation enthusiast, Sameer has obtained a private pilot license with instrument rating. He holds Crossfit Level I Trainer and Nutrition Certifications. He has toured Central and Eastern Europe as an electronic music DJ and also enjoys landscaping and metal fabrication.
